Hunting Field Courses

You learn it by being out there — in the cold, before first light, waiting for your moment. Wildcraft Field Academy puts you in the field from day one. No slides. No simulations. Four days, the right guide beside you, and a trophy animal at the end of it.

Both retreats are fully all-inclusive — lodge, all meals, gear, tags, game care, and professional harvest photos. Two courses, two methods, one standard: you leave having harvested a trophy animal on your own terms.

Legacy in the Field:
Some moments you plan. Some you pass down.

There's no shortcut to knowing what to do when a mature animal steps into your lane at 40 yards. You don't get there by watching videos or reading forums. You get there by being out there — in the cold, before first light, waiting for your moment, making the call when it comes.

Wildcraft Field Academy puts you in the field from day one. No slides. No simulations. No classroom theory that evaporates the second you're sitting in a blind at 5 am, wondering if you're doing it right. Just four days of real instruction, the right guide beside you, and a trophy animal at the end of it.

We built two courses because two different hunters walk through the door. The Foundation Course — First Blood — is for the hunter taking their first real step into big game. The Pursuit Mastery — Dead Reckoning — is for the hunter who's ready to leave the blind behind and earn it on the stalk.

Different methods. Different challenges. The same standard at the end: you harvest your animal, on your terms, with your own hands.

Both retreats are fully all-inclusive. Lodge, all meals, gear rental, tags, field dressing, full processing coordination, and professional harvest photos — everything from the moment you arrive to the moment your meat is packed and ready to travel. You show up. We handle the rest. You leave a hunter.

Foundation Hunt - First Game

The Foundation Course is built for the hunter who has been out — maybe after hogs or squirrels, maybe a season tagging along with someone else — but has never stood over a big game animal and called the shot their own.

Over four days, you'll learn everything that actually matters in the field: how to read land, understand animal movement, control your scent, and pick your shot with confidence. Not in a classroom. Not from a video. Out there, with your guide beside you, in the conditions where it counts.

This isn't a guided hunt where someone does the work and hands you the result. It's four days of real instruction — your guide close enough to coach every decision, then stepping back so the harvest is yours and yours alone.

Pursuit Mastery - Spot & Stalk Challenge

Pursuit Mastery is built for the hunter who has been out — a season or two, maybe more — and is done being a passenger. You know the basics. You've sat the blind, made the shot, brought something home.

Now you want one of the challenging methods there is: closing ground on an animal that doesn't know you're coming, on your feet, in open country, earning every yard.

Spot-and-stalk leaves nowhere to hide. No blind between you and the animal, no feeder pulling them in, no preset lane to shoot down. Just your read on the wind, your route through the terrain, and your decision when the moment arrives. It demands complete command of movement, patience, and instinct — and by Day 4, you'll have all of it.

This isn't a guided hunt where someone puts you on an animal and tells you when to shoot. It's four days of advanced field instruction — your guide pushing your skills to their edge, then dropping back a few yards from you so the stalk, the shot, and the harvest are entirely your own.
